Competency Exams
Your competency log sheet may be signed by residents or the attending faculty member. Remember to tell the supervising dentist that you intend to take a competency exam before you begin the procedure. You should complete the first three competency exams - Diagnosis and Treatment Plan; Prophylaxis, Fluoride Treatment, Oral Hygiene Instructions; and Bite wing radiographs - during this rotation.
Makeup days
Makeups and additional days may be scheduled with Lorena de la Torre. During the summer quarter the clinic can accept up to 5 students on Mondays, Tuesday mornings, Wednesday afternoons, Thursdays, and Friday mornings. During Winter and Spring Quarters, 2 additional students may join the regularly scheduled students.
Missed days should be made up in the quarter in which you missed them. All makeup days must be completed by the end of summer quarter 4th year to receive a passing grade.
